Privacy Policy

FindGift.ca ("we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use findgift.ca and why. We do not sell personal information, and you don't need an account to use the site.

Information we collect

• Analytics (Google Analytics 4). We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. It uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type. See Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Outbound link clicks. When you click a product link, it goes through a findgift.ca/go/ address before sending you to Amazon.ca. At that moment we record the time, the product, your country (as reported by our hosting provider), your browser's user-agent string, the page you came from, and which part of the site the link was on. We use this only to count clicks, filter out automated bots, and see which pages are helpful. We don't record your name or contact details, and we keep these records for up to 12 months.
• Hosting and security (Cloudflare). Our site runs on Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• Email. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.

Amazon.ca and affiliate links

FindGift.ca is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program. When you follow a link to Amazon.ca, Amazon may set cookies and collect information under its own Privacy Notice so it can credit us for qualifying purchases. We don't receive your name, address or payment details from Amazon; we only see aggregated sales reports.

Cookies

We don't use advertising cookies of our own. Google Analytics cookies and the cookies Amazon sets after you leave our site are described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Your choices and rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you can ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. Because we don't collect names or contact details through the site, there is usually nothing tied to you personally, but we're happy to help. Contact findgift@cloudtech.org.

Children

FindGift.ca is intended for adults shopping for gifts and is not directed at children under 13.

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
